Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Ternith handles, why we handle it, who we share it with, and how to ask for access, export or deletion.
1. Who we are
Ternith is operated by Daniel K Cheung from Sydney, Australia. Ternith is a product name, not currently a registered company or a separate legal entity.
For privacy questions, export requests or deletion requests, email danielcheung@ternith.ai.
2. What we collect
Today, the public site collects waitlist email addresses and optional context you choose to provide with the waitlist form.
When the paid product is available, we may also collect account details, company details, brand names, website URLs, public competitor or reference-brand domains, diagnostic setup choices, payment metadata, support messages, and the diagnostic outputs created for your account.
Some data is collected automatically: request metadata, IP-derived approximate location, browser and device information, session/authentication cookies, and analytics events.
3. How we collect and hold it
We collect personal data directly from you when you join the waitlist, sign in, pay, contact support or configure a diagnostic. We also collect technical data from your browser and public web data from brand websites, search results and cited pages needed for a diagnostic.
We hold data in hosted systems such as our database, application hosting, email tools, payment provider and worker logs. We use practical security measures such as access controls, encrypted transport, provider security controls and limited internal access.
4. How we use it
- Waitlist: to tell you when Ternith opens.
- Authentication: to sign you in, keep your session secure, and send magic links.
- Diagnostics: to configure, run, store and deliver AI-visibility diagnoses with evidence.
- Billing: to process payments, issue receipts and keep accounting records.
- Support and operations: to respond to requests, prevent abuse and keep the service working.
- Analytics: to understand how the site is used and improve the product.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use diagnostic data to create a public score about your brand.
5. AI and diagnostic processing
Ternith works by measuring how AI systems treat a brand across controlled prompts and public web evidence. To do that, diagnostic inputs and outputs may be processed by third-party AI providers and model-routing services.
Inputs can include brand names, public URLs, public page content retrieved from those URLs, diagnostic prompts, category context and generated observations. We do not intentionally send your payment card details or private support messages to AI providers as diagnostic inputs.
6. Legal bases for EEA and UK visitors
If EEA or UK data protection law applies, we rely on the legal bases below. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object to the processing.

Where privacy law requires transfer safeguards, we rely on the provider's standard data-processing terms, contractual safeguards and published privacy commitments.
